If you have lingered a little too long while viewing a wellness retreat on social media, chances are that Meta has thrown all the wacky wellness trends in your direction too.
Yip, we’ve found the goat yoga, the cupping therapy, the sound bath healing with brass gongs, the vampire facials, the bee venom therapy and a whole world of weird Amazonian psychedelic brews. And, try as we might, we still can’t stop the algorithm from sending us coffee enemas!
In 2025, wellness is also settling quietly into our homes and offices. Current interior design trends are quickly moving towards ‘wellness spaces’ that prioritise mindfulness, restoration and a ‘flow’ state of mind. Think of homes that celebrate our need for colour, texture, art and connection, and allow us to function at an optimal level.
We want wellness, but we want it packaged into personal spaces with heart and soul!
Soulful spaces by Stiles
‘We are certainly seeing an increase in customers who want to create a specific sensory experience in their own homes,’ says Stevie Joubert, CEO of Stiles.
Connection to nature, spatial flow and spiritual influences are playing a role in how customers create their own spaces. Stevie explains that the home can be an escape, a place where time slows down and shifts the body into a relaxed state. ‘One of my biggest beliefs,’ he says, ‘is that if you can see it and visualise it, you can create it!’
At Stiles, we want to empower customers to embrace their creativity and harness it to create the ultimate wellness sanctuary in their own homes. Stevie advises customers to focus on tiles that have personality and infuse the space with connection, creativity, depth and energy.

Here are Stiles’ top tips for restorative design with wellness in mind:
Natural materials
Tiles featuring the textures and colours of raw materials offer psychological grounding. Humans thrive in nature where organic elements reduce stress and improve mental clarity. In designing for well-being, consider the hyper-expressive stone-look slabs from Stiles.
The sustainably produced Florim porcelain slabs include the Rock Salt range, which showcases the natural charm and tactile materiality of salt crystals. Inspired by the aesthetics of large rock salt blocks extracted from underground mines, the Rock Salt collection includes fresh tones such as Celtic Grey and White Gold as well as the warmer tone of Danish Smoke.
Finding the flow
Using curves and organic shapes in interior design creates a sense of softness, fluidity and natural harmony. Rounded edges which mimic the natural forms of waves, hills, shells and plants, are associated with comfort and safety.
Tiles with flowing forms feel organic, alleviating digital stress and offering an immersive living experience. Look for the reeded, fluted and rippled decorative tiles at Stiles such as the Funky Tiles Cuore My C Deluxe. This porcelain tile is available in six nature-inspired shades, such as snow, olive and ochre.
The softly curved ridges of the Funky Tiles range mimic a sense of embrace. The Fluted Marmi porcelain tile has a marble look and a highly tactile satin finish. The Fluted Terrazzo tile has raised linear grooves, making the surface visually dynamic. These fluted designs catch and reflect light, creating soft variations in tone throughout the day.
The AB Pietra Antica Strokes tiles have the soft, regular relief pattern of a rippled sea bed. These tiles are available in cream, light grey and grey.
Colours to inspire calm
To create a sanctuary for reflection and renewal, explore surface coatings that promote balance, clarity and a sense of calm. At the heart of the Wellness Space Movement lies a palette of soft, soothing hues, including whites, creams and gentle neutrals.
These timeless tones create an effortless elegance, inviting light, openness and tranquillity into every corner of your home. The subtle colour textural quality of the Hermes White Natural tile imbues a space with restfulness. It has a beautifully veined relief texture with elegant detailing.
The Florim Walks White tile has a soft stone look and a natural finish. The Tuscania Ceramiche Dolomia White comes in a variety of finishes including a semi-polished ‘lappato’ finish, a matt finish and a slip-resistant finish.
