Planning a cocktail party? Use these playful food flags to label your canapés

These cute DIY food flags will let your guests know what’s on the menu when browsing a buffet.

You could also use them as cupcake toppers that double as place cards; simply write each guest’s name on a flag, insert it into a cupcake and use it to mark their place at the table.

THEY’RE SO EASY TO MAKE! HERE’S HOW:

  1. Download and print one of the free printable PDFs below.
  2. Stick the two print outs back to back (optional).
  3. Cut out the flags.
  4. Write on them. Be creative, you don’t just have to write the name of dish, you could add a little message to your guests like ‘Bon appetit!’ or ‘Eat me!’.
  5. Make a small hole in the end of each flag and insert a toothpick.
