2022 has seen dime a dozen colour trends pass through our collective gaze. With maximalism on the rise, quirky and bold colours have hopped onto the scene, showering our homes in beautiful pallets that really do make some abodes look like artworks.
Other colour trends play to mother nature’s tune, opting for that earth-kissed and sometimes mystical feel. We’re talking crystals and minerals!
Going back to our natural essence is set to be all the energy for spring, and Plascon has wasted no time in adding an entire palette dedicated to the theme.

Amethyst is a quartz crystal that occurs in various shades of violet and purple from the deepest hue to the lightest blush. Yoga teaches us that these colours are associated with both the third eye and crown chakras of the human body and they denote spiritual awareness and enlightenment.

Today, we are experiencing the same need for healing after a time of collective trauma. The other reason we are craving soft purples now, has to do with society’s greater awareness of gender sensitivity and fluidity.
