This could be formed by large shrubs or a creeper covered or brick wall. Create a framework with flowering shrubs and add seasonal interest with these perennials. As far as uncomplaining plants go, agapanthus are one of the best. Indigenous and drought tolerant, they grow in grow in clumps in sun or shade. Blue agapanthus are the most well-known, but the white variety looks stunning, especially when massed.

Dietes grandiflora
Free-flowering Dietes grandiflora have orchid-like, exotic blooms and sword-shaped leaves. They grow in just about any type of soil, in sun and shade, including marshy areas. Although the flowers don’t last long, the plants bloom continuously. They’re ideal for texture and as fillers.
‘Iceberg’ roses
It’s no surprise that ‘Iceberg’ roses are so popular. Disease resistant, they can grow up to 2m high producing prolific clusters of white blooms. All they require is a light pruning in winter.

Erigeron karvinskianus
Erigeron karvinskianus is a pretty evergreen groundcover with small white, daisy-like blooms with touches of pink. It grows in sun and semi-shade and multiplies easily, making it suitable for in between paving, at the back of steps and as an edging.
Shasta Daisies
Shasta Daisies are perky and fun. They flower from late spring right through to autumn. They love a sunny spot, don’t mind a little shade, but tend to become leggy without enough direct sun. Divide and replant them or share extras with friends.
Bougainvilleas
Large dependable climbers, bougainvilleas look magnificent in sunny spots over pergolas, carports, archways and gazebos and produce ‘flowers’ all year round. The white variety looks beautiful shown off against the leafy background. They need little water once established.
