Summer’s not over just yet, and entertaining in the heat always requires an ice cold drink in hand. Why not make that drink a homemade iced tea? This recipe is just as delicious as it is refreshing.
Preparation: 30 minutes
Refrigeration: 2 hours
Ingredients:
- 5 Freshpak Rooibos tea bags
- 1 litre boiling water
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice/lime cordial
- 1/4 cup berries (eg. cherries, strawberries or mixed berries)
- 1-2 tablespoons vanilla essence
- 80-100ml honey
- Ice (as needed)
Method:
- Place the tea bags in a jug, add boiling water and allow to steep for 5 minutes (or longer if you prefer a stronger iced tea)
- Remove the tea bags, add lime juice, honey and vanilla essence and stir
- Let the tea cool to room temperature and refrigerate until chilled
- Serve with lots of ice and garnish with mint and berries
